Classified as a historic building, this Castle, XIInd-XVIIth, present of the single architectural prowesses. Its large and beautiful rooms accomodate throughout the year of the exposures of great quality (Camille Claudel, Dali,…)

Opening: every day April, May, June, September, October: from 10:30 to 12:30 -14h to 18:00

The current village is located on the site of a old castelnau of the XIInd and XIIIrd.

The archaeological excavations, were carried out and many vestiges of the centuries and the former millenia were found: polished axes of the Neolithic era, Gallo-Roman villas, plunder Roman, of which two are still visible… the historical and archaeological heritage of Ordan Larroque is presented in the “municipal academy of the archaeology and the history”, arranged at the bottom of the parish church.

Opened in July and August and the day of the Fair to the rare plants (2nd Sunday of October) for the groups on reservation all the year.

Art to marry the floral decoration with the safeguard of the inheritance did of this castelnau one of the most preceded villages of the Midi-Pyrenees (4 flowers and national Grand Prix). Its history goes back to the time of the Romans as testify some two piles now classified, and a villa which was the subject of excavations. A deposit of these excavations can be visited with the municipal academy., witness of the ancient life in this villa.

Other monuments can be noted: ruins of Meilhan (XIVth), castle and vault of Larroque, church of Saint Jean de Bazillac.

The national forest, the hiking trails (P.R. and G.R.) allow the leisures full of the nature.

This strengthened village of the Middle Ages was the old stronghold of the Armagnacs. On the small square of the village, a castle of XIVth and XVIIth century, two “Cross-country races” and a well of reserves are still visible. Remarkable a 11 height meters Gallo-Roman pile is the witness of an already old occupation of the territory.

This garden and this seedbed are dedicated to the plants carnivores.

Installed in the middle of Gers, in an entirely renovated establishment of 1817, the thermal baths of Castéra-Verduzan profit from an exceptional framework.
