Welcome to the country of bourdeaux

One of the nine villages of the regional district of Bourdeaux,Bezaudun-sur-Bine is situated on either side of the road going to Saillans. There you can experience stunning walks and pony trekking in a magnificent mountainous landscape. In summertime.the camping site with its swimming pool welcomes you onto the banks of the Bine stream.

There, famous farm products are to be discoverd too, like the "picodon" which is a local goat cheese, and especially reard "Label Rouge" chicken, as well as a great variety of aromatic plants and essential oils.

The village of Bourdeaux is perched on the banks of the Roubion River with its preserverd.natural heritage in an attractive medieval setting. With the largest population in the area, Bourdeaux, 570 inhabitants, has a wide range of shops and services to satisfy locals and tourists alike.

The main economic activity is agriculture which guarantees attractive and delicious goods.

Bourdeaux also offers a large variety of accommodation (camping sites, B&B's, apartments, hotels...). Because of its climate, its welcoming spirit, landscape, and its cultural activities, Bourdeaux is a favoured place among tourists.

Why not enjoy a pleasant country walk with a hired donkey to carry your picnic ?

Although Crupies is no longer a proper village, it is well known because of the Saint Jean chapel which dates back to the XI th century, looking down over the Roubion from the top of the hill. It is also well known for Musiflore which is a music school for young boys and girls.

In short, a lovely place to live where one and all know how to keep the tradition of hospitality alive.

In Mornans, the local activities are traditional: agriculture, breeding, small businesses and tourism.

Picturesque walks and pony treks are available and the variety and beauty of the landscape include the foothills of the Forest of Saou (1000 - 1300 m ) and the rich plain of the Roubion (350 m).

Poet-Celard is a perched village which is dominated by its imposing castle.
Indeed, the 143 inhabitants are proud of their well-preserved patrimony. The restoration of the castle has been ongoing since 1980 and it has become a dynamic site for different cultural activities.

In terms of the local economy, agriculture is the main activity, especially breeding.

Elsewhere, you can discover the surroundings by going on lovely walks across the landscape, a land marked by the history and work of generations of farmers.

The family cemetries found here are the living witnesses of a time when the Protestants could not be buried with the Catholics. Such faith has moulded the character of these people mirrored in the chapel, recently restored. Each wall symbolizes the tenacity of those men who also painstakingly cultivated vines, and patiently made their famous goat cheese.

From pine trees looking like Bonzais to insects settling on branches of thyme, the valley truly communicates a multicoloured vividness.
