L’estival

Estival returns from September 27 to October 12, 2013 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye for its 26th edition. In 1988, the festival was created by a group of friends wanting to wake culturally western Paris. Today, a long road has been traveled and the association now consists of 200 members! The enthusiasm and goals early hours remain unchanged: to defend the music and chanson in all its forms, support emerging artists and participate in a humanitarian project.

As every year, the program reflects the love of the organizers for the musical diversity but also their willingness to defend the Francophonie without bigotry. The festival will host this year's BB Brunes, Clarks, The Quartet, Amadou and Mariam, Stephan Eicher, or Pascal Obispo, many French artists who illustrate the diversity of music. In this dynamic, the Estival participated in the creation of the Federation of Francophone Song Festivals. The association is also part of the Charles Cros Academy with whom she shares the desire to preserve all sound sensitivities.

Always keen to encourage the emergence of new talents, members pay Estival primary place for young artists. Some share the stage with the big names of French song, others occur during Showcases French and International Discoveries of 5 and 6 October.

Every year, the team Estival highlights the work of a humanitarian or charity by providing media and financial support.
