Bringing music to rural areas with a level of excellence comparable to that of major urban centers — such was the bold challenge launched by two musicians in 1996 in the heart of Alsace.

Musicalta is first and foremost a daring festival located away from the usual cultural hubs. It is also a platform for internationally renowned artists who have been part of the adventure for many years. As both a festival and a training academy welcoming several hundred students from all over the world, Musicalta has transformed the region every summer for the past 29 years, drawing thousands of spectators into the heart of the exceptional heritage of the Pays de Rouffach, Vineyards and Castles region.
