Parc Les jardins de Barbirey
The Gardens of Barbirey is in fact a nineteenth century castle and an 8-hectare park which offers the discovery of different landscapes, which was highlighted in 1989 by a restructuring operation. There are a variety of climates and soils that can show different landscapes of the valleys, all of which divided into a harmonious whole. Through this place with rich and varied environments, visitors can discover a vegetable garden on the terrace of the woods, but also great art spaces. Indeed, it is a place of expression that exists under the title of an art project "artists in the Garden." Five artists were chosen to present original works and integrated into the landscape. It is thus possible to admire such as a work of Jean Noel Buatois the "Coma Berenices", which represents a constellation of small pearly buttons on the floor, encouraging visitors to take the time to watch the little details nature. Gardens Barbirey received several awards, including the Tourist Trophy in 2001 for the regional festival of plants, the national label of "Remarkable Garden" in 2004 by the Ministry of Culture and it was registered in 2005 in the Additional Inventory Historical Monuments.
