Musée de la coutellerie
The « musée de la Coutellerie » or the knife museum is inviting you to discover knife making and the knife craftsmen. The museum is located in the heart of the medieval city centre housed in a half timbered house. On the ground floor, old large shops are displayed. The « maison des couteliers » is associated with the museum.
The visitors can see the craftsmen making knives, daggers and quality cutlery products. The collections are split into two floors displaying items from Thiers and elsewhere and from the 16th century until these days. A room dedicated to contemporary cutlery Works presenting the trend from the last thirty years for pocket knives and cutlery. The museum offers different formulas to discover the collections.
