The International Museum of the shoe is in Romans-sur-Isère in the Drôme department.
This museum is dedicated to the history of an accessory that is used daily. Visitors will discover more than 16,500 collection items, spanning 4,000 years of history, and from 5 continents.
The collections consist of machinery, tools, paintings and sculptures. All these objects tell the fabulous story of the shoe. The museum will guide its collections to contemporary creation.
Interest of the visit lies in the location of the museum. located in a former convent from 1971, the scenic route is via cells that were previously the site of religious life.

In May-June - September: Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Sunday and Monday)

All Year: Sunday and Public Holidays: 14h30 to 18h00
