Château de Mayenne
Mayenne's castle is a castle dating from the eighth century located in the department of Mayenne Mayenne. This castle is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since November 19, 1927. It is the only archaeological site of national interest of the Loire, the Chateau de Mayenne been a study since 1996 on the masonry elevation. Erected to assert the power to face Carolingian Britons and Normans, a palace, kept on three levels, has gradually been contained in defensive structures, becoming a veritable fortress.

Closed December 25 and May 1.
