Maison de la Vache Qui Rit
The House of the Laughing Cow is at Lons-le Saunier. It is located at the place that hosted the first ever, factory Fair. The building, in which it is, present an innovative architecture, but many principles consistent with the preservation of the environment as a thermal insulation and low energy lighting. The Bel cheese was created in 1865 to Orgelet. The cheese moved to Lons-le-Saunier in the year 1897.
The facility and the invention of the famous cheese are two important elements that led to the creation of a new plant by Bel, which was first invented Laughing Cow. It is on this very site that was created the House of the Laughing Cow in 2009. The two caves that were present at the base were decorated with a green building to house the history of Laughing Cow. In the House of the Laughing Cow, visitors will discover a museum dedicated to the brand, its birth and history as well as posters or secret. There is also a garden for the children full of games related to the theme of the cheese. They finally discover an educational room, a cafeteria and a shop.
