Musée du château
The first museum then called « musée d’archéologie monumentale et de Sciences naturelles », was housed in a small room on the ground floor of the City Hall. This collection was then enriched during the second half of the century by the Louvre museum and by the state, which gave paintings and about hundred Etruscan, Cypriot and Egyptian antiques.
During the first half of the 20th century, the donations from Kercadio and Vergé enriched the collections with objects coming from Afirca and Asia. Two decades later, Pierre Rochereau added hats and furnitures.
