Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Beauvais
Built in the thirteenth century, the Cathedral of Beauvais has the highest Gothic choir in the world. Imagined to be the largest cathedral in the world, it is one of the most incomplete. Its height has weakened the building during the Middle Ages. Funding that should have been used to finish the cathedral were spent on repairs.
Inside the cathedral is an astronomical clock. The building has neither nave nor arrow. In 2010, service begins: that of the 120 tons of lead plates.
Today, the building remains fragile.
