Carcassonne festival

A unique festival that brings together the greatest artists.

In just 10 years, the Carcassonne Festival has become one of the 10 biggest French festivals* and the cultural event of reference for the whole of the south of France.

A Festival that has never stopped evolving, growing year after year in terms of its ambitious programme, its stages, and its reputation, which now extends beyond the borders of France.

Every summer, the Carcassonne Festival welcomes more than 200,000 spectators from France and abroad.

A Festival that offers an exceptional venue and setting, classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site: the medieval city and its ancient theatre where every evening, some 3,000 privileged people experience real moments of emotion and sharing.

A unique festival without equivalent in France, which offers throughout the month of July, 120 shows, 80 of which are entirely free (the OFF), on 11 stages and in themes ranging from OPERA to THEATER, from DANCE to CLASSICAL MUSIC, through a multitude of CONCERTS by NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS.

An example of the cultural diversity that has made the very identity of this festival, where emerging artists, local artists and global stars rub shoulders in each discipline.
