Tourism Saint-Quentin
Saint Quentin is a French town located in the Somme department and the Picardie region. It is the sub-prefecture of the Aisne department and with a population of about 56 500 inhabitants it is the second most populous town in the region.
Sights in Saint-Quentin
- The Basilica, a gothic building started in the 13th century. The main part were completed at the end of the 15th century
- The Town Hall, a gothic style building completed in 1509
- The Jean-Vilar Theatre, built in 1844
- The “béguinages” or Beguine convent in English, dating from the Middle-Age
- The Fervaques Palace, built between 1897 and 1911
- The “Porte des Canonniers” or the Gunners Door in English, the only vestige from the building that used to house the “Compagnie Bourgeoise des Canonniers”
