Tourism Port la Nouvelle

Port-la-Nouvelle is located in department of Aude and Languedoc-Roussillon area. It is a relatively young city which however has a certain economic dynamism: it can reconcile industrial aspects (on the level of its commercial port) and tourism.

Its major asset undoubtedly resides in its Mediterranean climate and its sand beach of approximately 15 kilometers. Today we known the capacity of estival residences of Port-la-Nouvelle, its animations and its installations intended for the tourists. This vocation of seaside resort affirms since 1847 with the construction of baths. Then there were set the seasonals trades and a casino in 1898.

Except summer season, the commune of Port-la-Nouvelle regularly sets up animations: carnival with the gatherings motorcyclists while passing by sporting events, all the tastes are catered. The Theatre of the Sea accomodates representations throughout all the year.
