Moncoutant is situated in the department of the Deux-Sèvres and the region Poitou-Charentes.
Pescalis, "international center nature and fishing", is a town of vacation situated at the edge of the "Sèvre nantaise", that opened its doors in 2001. A domain of 100 hectares was laid out full of the nature. They constructed artificial ponds at the edge of the river: they allow the vacationers to practice the fishing in varied conditions. The beginners can follow the courses with guides of fishing.
