Meurthe-et-Moselle is a French department located in the Lorraine region. It is surrounded by the Meuse, Vosges, Bas-Rhin and Moselle departments as well as the border of Luxembourg and Belgium. the main cities are Nancy Briey, Lunéville and Toul.
Meurthe-et-Moselle department can be divided in three parts: the Lorrain plateau, Moselle coasts and the swamps and forests.
Food wise, the department is well known for its ‘Quiche Lorraine’ and ‘Baba au Rhum’. The natural heritage is concentrated on the regional natural park of Lorraine.
Meurthe-et-Moselle counts numerous monuments such as the famous Stanislas square and the Lunéville Castle.
Some cultural events take place around the department each year with concerts, theatre and exhibitions.
