Dormans, the hills of the marne

Imposing monument built in 1921 on a site chosen by the Maréchal Foch to celebrate the two Battles of the Marne.
The together is composed of a crypt, a big decorated chapel with stained glass windows, a cloister, an boneyard containing the remainders of 1500 unknown soldiers. The access to a round way by a stairway of about hundred stairs, offers an amazing view on the whole valley of Marne.
A site of memory, welcoming more than 17000 visitors each year.

The castle dates back to the 14th century. Owned by famous families in the past, it belongs now to the town to welcome receptions, ceremonies and seminaries. It can welcome about one hundred guests. A capacity reached to 200 guests in Summer, from May to September.
