The village of Lauzun is located in the north of the department of the Lot-et-Garonne, in the area of Marmande in Aquitaine.

The border of Lauzun and the Perigord is delimited by the River Dropt which crosses the Guyenne and that has many picturesque villages such as Monpazier, Villeréal, Castillonnès, Eymet, La Sauvetat du Dropt, Allemans du Dropt, Duras or Monségur.

Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees, Lauzun enjoys all the appeal of ecotourism. The sun, the peace and quiet, and numerous tourists infrastructures will allow you to have great holidays.

You can visit the castle of Lauzun from the 11 of July to the 23 of August from 12 noon to 6 pm.

The castle looms over the picturesque site then called 'the larks hill' as the harvest attracted many birds each year.

Although a fortress already existed in the 12th century, the oldest part of the castle is the left wing and the tower dating from the 15th century decorated with the Caumont-Lauzun Arms.
