Nontron has numerous attractive tourist sites:

•  The Gianello House and the italian cafe
•  The Castle of Bernardières, property of Antoine d'Authon although more famous under the name of Barberousse. He was a pirate and admiral of Turkish fleets

This garden has species from the 5 continents such as the Libanese cedar, Chinese peonies, central America tomatoes. There are also Chinese bamboos, Mexican blue palmtree, a Brasilian butia capitata, small European palmtrees, and many other palm trees form Chili, Argentina, Uruguay and so on.
