Castles and manor of cléder

The impressive ruins that stand are those of a construction of the early seventeenth century. The remains are evidence of earlier occupation in the twelfth century. The first lord was probably NUZ companion of St. Paul-Aurélien he helped to capture the dragon which ravaged the island of Batz. He was deliberately destroyed in 1760 by its owners.

Former keep the thirteenth century, the castle of Kermenguy was replaced by a pretty Breton manor. Flanked by two turrets, it was later supplemented by a new wing was destroyed during the revolution.

The manor as can be seen today ended with a nice gallery of Louis XIII, whose comings and pillars of the loft are included in the supplementary inventory of historic monument (ISMH). The lands and castle Kermenguy are the property of the same family for over six centuries.
