Château de Kerjean
Kerjean Castle was built in the sixteenth century as a home for the Barbier family. Later, the castle was abandoned in the seventeenth century but in the end it found its brightness. In 1802, the castle served as a garrison, and was operated as a quarry. It was not until 1911 that the building was bought by the state and was classified as an historical monument.
Castle Kerjean was recently restored, and since 2005 opens its doors to visitors through a journey of discovery from the basement to the floors. Many parts are restored, as the apartments of the Marquise, kitchens or semi-underground ceremonial rooms. This place hosts, in addition to tours, activities for children such as treasure hunts, as well as lectures, performances, throughout the year.
