The village is surrounded by four enclosures and several doors as the door of Ormeaux, the door of Jane or the door of Clock.

• This village is known, inter alia, for its well of the market which makes more than 100 meters of depth (113m, 47).

You can admire there works of Yves Brayer (1907-1990), one of the most important figurative painters of the XXth century. Thanks to the donation of the poet Andre Verdet, at the same time painter, ceramist, philosopher, witness and actor of l' emergence of the modern art of the years 1960, you also discover there works of Picasso, Miró, Leger, Klee, Magnelli, Prévert, Arman, Appel, Kijno, Fromanger, Christo… The Museum of Modern art and Contemporary of Cords has to also it quasi totality of the work of Maurice Baskine (1905-1968), former member of the surrealist group, tables of Twisted Francis Meunier (1924 - 1995), also member of the surrealist group, and about fifteen works of Aline Gagnaire (1922-1997), member of Sewing room of Potential Painting (Oupeinpo).
