In the discovery of le portel-plage

 The Fort of the Clash was built in 1803 by Napoleon Bonaparte in the aim of protection by the surd damping of the flotilla of the Camp of Boulogne, in the forecast of an unloading in England.

Napoleon Bonaparte raised the camp in 1805, and it had to be waited the second world war so that the fort finds its utility militaite. The Fort of lthe Clash became today a site moulier.

The " gathering of mussels is a true local tradition for the portelois and makes the joy of many tourists in visit on the commune.

The site of Alprech is since the Antiquity regarded as a privileged station of defense and watchtower. It shelters since 1842 its headlight which remained in place until the second world war. This last will be set up in 1975, then entirely automated again in 1985
