The stevenson trail

R.L Stevenson have started its trip on the 22 of September 1878 from Monastier-sur-Gazeille toward St-Jean-du-Gard where he arrived on the 3rd october 1878. Its diary was published under the title "Travels with a donkey in the Cevennes" in 1879.

• The "Place des Moines" square
• The "pont vieux" bridge

On the path, you will stop over in the village of Luc where you will see a castle, the guardian of the regordane which is a former pilgrimage and trading route from which you will have a great view on the Val d'Allier.

In the Bastide-Puylaurent you can stroll around the village created last century and visit Notre-Dame-des-Neiges abbey.
