MULHOUSE EXHIBITION CENTRE (PARC EXPO)
On Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10, 2027, the association Les Amis des Sciences de la Terre (Friends of Earth Sciences) will organise its traditional international mineral and fossil exhibition and fair, MINERALEXPO, at the Mulhouse Exhibition Centre.
Well known among enthusiasts of beautiful crystal formations, mysterious fossils, fascinating meteorites, precious gemstones, natural stone jewellery, amber, and natural wellness products, techniques and alternative therapies featured in the dedicated wellness area, this event marks the first major regional exhibition of the year.
As every year, the fair will feature a special themed exhibition. For this 48th edition, the organisers invite visitors to discover the geological treasures of the southern part of our beautiful region through an impressive collection of mineralogical and palaeontological specimens.
SUNDGAUSTEI – Minerals and Fossils of the Sundgau
One of the main purposes of a mineralogical association is, of course, the exploration and discovery of minerals and fossils. However, this activity would not fully satisfy enthusiasts without at least a basic understanding of their nature and origins.
It is therefore only natural that the members of the Mulhouse association Les Amis des Sciences de la Terre have taken a particular interest in their immediate surroundings, especially the geological, mineralogical and palaeontological sites of the Sundgau region.
The results of many years of field research will form the centrepiece of this special exhibition, presented on January 9 and 10, 2027, as part of MINERALEXPO-MULHOUSE at the Mulhouse Exhibition Centre.
More than 200 remarkable mineral and fossil specimens, including beautifully crystallised minerals and fascinating fossils, accompanied by informative display panels, will reveal part of the long and complex geological history of our region.
