Château de Vandenesse
This castle is documented in 1386 and was acquired by the family of Chabannes in the late fifteenth century. This castle is located in the small valley Dragne, a tributary of the Aron was severely damaged during the battle with Louis XI to Charles the Bold, and during the Wars of Religion.
In 1572, the castle passed to John Oliver, then to the family of the Bois de Fiennes in 1610 and 1883, Henri de Merode. The living room is covered with a French-style ceiling and a fireplace decorated with Renaissance-style castle from Anizy. In the dining room has a fireplace from the fifteenth century, brought from Castle Arcilly.
