Château de Gramont


Castle of Gramont is between Agen and Auch, beautiful house of the Renaissance, at the foot hills of Gascogne. The monument was built in the XIV century on the ruins of an earlier castle which remains today a fortified tower, the monument connects two style : Gothic and Renaissance. The wing of the castle opens to the courtyard through a geminate door which provides access to a staircase vaulted.

It also has a spiral staircase with no central core, a technical work that leads to the oratory. Recently all rooms have been refurnished and artifacts from the period. The terraced garden has been redesigned, overlooking a hilly landscape, typical of Lomagne.
