Tourisme Puymeras

Puymeras small village at the foot of Mont Ventoux located in the Vaucluse department, bordered to the north of the Drome. Built on 2 twin mounds, one on the castle to the next village. Some Roman relics were discovered.

Sights

1. Church under the patronage of Saint Michael, originally in Romanesque style, it occupies the tip of an ancient fortress
2. Clock tower, pierced by three bays, it was rebuilt in the seventeenth century, along with the castle
3. Castle perched on a hill separated from the village and protected by an enclosure. Ruined during the Revolution, it is partially restored actuellementen
4. Village surrounded by ramparts of the fourteenth century, windows were opened in the walls of fortification

6. In the Grand Rue, doors of houses dating from the seventeenth century and eighteenth century
7. On the Place de la Grande Fontaine, is a fountain of the eighteenth century and covered wash
8. Romanesque chapel of Saint-Apollinaire in the cemetery, it has been recently restored
