Tourism Tulle
Tulle is located in the south west of France. Its the main city of the department of Corrèze in the region of Limousin. Tulle has become the capital of lace (with its international festival), arms (arms manufacturing) and the accordion (manufactured by Maugein).
Tulle is located along the Corrèze in a valley, Its nick name is "the city of seven hills". Tulle’s old quarters lay along the hills which dominate Corrèze, emerging from the heart of the city, the elegant stone spire of Notre Dame.
Stroll through the old streets of Tulle, a real labyrinth of alleys and staircases among the small houses with wooden balconies to enjoy the rich architectural heritage of the city. Admire Place Emile Zola, the Maison Loyac, this magnificent building which combines Gothic and Renaissance.
The cloisters of the Tulle Cathedral now house the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of the region, tracing the history of its crafts and the town. Near the cathedral, the neighbourhood ‘Enclos’ evokes houses, forming a type of wall, circling the city of the Middle Ages.
