Tourism Minerve
Minerva is located in the department of Herault and the Languedoc-Roussillon. This little town is the historic capital of Minervois. It receives over 300,000 visitors a year.
The town sits on a rock that gives the impression that it dominates the throats of Brian and Stop. Many items are worth visiting, as natural bridges.
The city is ranked among the "most beautiful villages in France". Remnants seem to tell his story, among the ruins of the fortress, the walls that still stand around the city, or a copy of a catapult called the "Malvoisine" reminiscent of past events in 1210 that made infamous Minerva.
Visitors can admire in the museum of paleontology and archeology collections bringing together the first traces of man found in the caves of Aldene. Another small museum worth a look, Hurepel of Minerva, a museum dedicated to the events Cathars. Those are staged through small figurines.
