Haute-Marne is a French department that is part of the Champagne-Ardenne region. This department is surrounded by the Lorraine department in the northeast, the Franche-Comté department in the southeast, and Burgundy in the southwest. Haute-Marne is by far the greenest and the less populous department of Champagne-Ardenne region.

Nature overwhelms the very various landscapes of the region with hills, valleys and plains and their many rivers and streams full of fish. Among those very pretty natural sites are several cities well known for their remarkable architectural heritage and for their ancestral traditions: Nogent, capital of cutlery works, the impressive Joinville and its magnificent “Grand-Jardin Castle”. Also, the amazing city of Langres and the Saint-Mammès cathedral as well as Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises.
