Tourism Cordon
Cordon is a small village in Haute-Savoie. To come to the valley, Sallanches (with TGV station) must take a winding road that climbs quickly. Due to the panoramic view of Mont Blanc, this village is nicknamed the "balcony of Mont Blanc.
The altitude of the highest peak of the town, La Roche Perfia is 2448 meters. The village is located around 871 meters. The ski resort, rather family, is between 1000 and 1600 meters.
Cordon is dominated by Croise-Baulet (2236 m) mountain we can climb in about three hours on foot and symbolizes the cutting edge breakthrough responsible for the massive history of Aravis. At about the same altitude, Combloux is 6km. We can then join the various cities such as Megève (12 km, ten minutes by car), Saint Gervais Les Bains.
Through Sallanches can be accessed at Plateau d'Assy, either by highway Blanche
- North Cluses, Annecy, Geneve (60 km) and Suisse
- And south to Chamonix (35 km) and the Mont Blanc tunnel to Italy. Courmayeur (Valley d'Aoste) is 50 km.
