The Aube is a French department located in the Champagne-Ardennes region. It is a land of history and culture with a rich cultural heritage as well as a real pleasure for nature lovers, the Aube has many forests, little valleys, the Orient forest's big lakes and rivers. Also, the Aube is the cradle of the Troyan school of sculpture. The department is on the top of the national of the historical monuments list, and has several museums and their large variety of art collections, its medieval churches, its renaissance town houses or its castles dating from the 18th century. Troyes, the capital of the department has many half-timbered houses, churches and cathedrals of gothic style. The must see are the “Cristallerie Royale de Bayel” a crystal and glass workshop, the pottery of Amance, the Chesley tiles as well as visiting castle of the Motte Tilly and the Droupt Saint Bâle.
