The old city centre of Bourbon-Lancy was built in medieval time at the feet of a fortified castle built by the lord of Bourbon, Anseide. Today, only a picturesque district remains where half timbered houses are decorated with flowers all year round.

Bourbon-Lancy is well known since antiquity for the quality of its thermal waters.

The thermal spa is located at the feet of Morvan and at the crossroads of departments Saône-et-Loire, Nièvre and Allier, the spa is opened from April to October. The mild climate makes the spa a popular and pleasant place to be.

The Fleury is a remarkable naturel site where the river Loire and its banks have kept their natural aspects.
