Guided tour of the village
Before the sunset on Saint-Louis Lake, have a walk around the village of Lamonjoie.
Walk down the 'Grande Rue', the church and its bell tower looming over the village behind you. The bell tower was only a wall until 1903.
At the crossing between the Grand Rue and the Astaffort road, you will see the building and its garden that used to serve as a chemist shop dating from the 19th century.
Cross the road and take the Trouil stair. Here, take left and walk down in the direction of the lake on the 'Mare' path.
Walking up from the 'Dominé', you will see what is left of the Agen's gate. If you walk up the 'Rue Traversiere' and the Porte d'Agen street, you will see more half timbered houses on 'Rue Dufour'.

It is a great place to swim, to canoe, to fish and to camp.

The tourists arrive from the whole department and even from elsewhere.. i.e. the popular story of a man from marseilles who came to see if 'Sardines' were present in the lake.
The lake is today part of the heritage and also part of the contest 'Village que j'aime' or 'The village I love' in English.
