Tourism in chaudes aigues

Throughout the year, a part of the 'Source de Par' water is used to provide water in seven fountains spread around the town. The inhabitant use the water for household purposes such as washing up, cleaning, cooking.. About hundred houses enjoy the hot water of the 'Source du Par' as a heating system.

The hot spring wash-house is located near the thermal centre and is dating from the beginning of the century. It is supplied in water by the spring called Estende.

The Saint-Martin church in Chaudes-Aigues is a gothic church dating from the 15th century that was restored in 1974. The parish church took the name of Saint-Martin-Saint-Blaise in the 18th century.

A pleasure garden is located at the feet of 'Notre Dame de la Piété' chapel. The garden offers the opportunity to enjoy activities and structures such as tennis, swimming, a mini-golf course, of which the theme reminds the Source du Par, thermalism, the viaduct of Garabit, the ski resort of Lioran...

The Chaudes-Aigues thermal water is mainly used for osteoarthrisis and sciatica treatments. the thermal water properties have made Chaudes Aigues a renowned spa resort.

The treatments include: jet showers, sweet lodge, jacuzzis, massages etc...

Each quarters in Chaudes-Aigues have their own Saint Patron hanged on a house wall. There are eight of these Oratoriums:

Saint-Jean, Saint-Roch, Saint-Jacques, Saint-Jean, Saint-Joseph, Sainte-Elisabeth, Notre-Dame of August and Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation.
