Gondrin

 A long time high place of pilgrimage, it is located at the site of a “appearance” of the Virgin in XVI the cantury.

During centuries, several vaults were built. It is into 1864 that the last was blessed.

You penetrate inside by a gate in heart of oak. The proportions are harmonious, the ogival vault with the edges decorated with festoons and pendentive, any beauty. Lit by eleven bays and a rosette decorated with stained glasses, works of the Thibault Master-Glassmaker, it is for the eyes a caress to consider them with the rising sun, or the evening, when the day declines…

While strolling in the contiguous park, you will discover the vault-shelter, a very beautiful terra cotta virgin of the Workshops Leon Moynet, a way of cross, the swimming pool which receives spring water; on the left while setting out again establishment of baths and the hotel which accomodated the most affluent pilgrims.
