Welcome to cologne

On the border between stony Lomagne and the brick-red Gascony on the Toulouse area, Cologne's architecture marries both materials in the heart of typical wonderfully lush and undulating gascon countryside. This is landscape of wide open spaces, a conservation area barely 50 km from Toulouse which cries out to be explored on foot or horseback or bicycle.

The bastide ( a 13th century new town) is one of the finest in the south-West with an orthogonal town plan, a central square with restored houses, a 14th century market hall, chruch and treasure house. The district of Cologne invites you to relax at the "Relais de la Bourdette" and the Thoux Saint-Cricq lake leisure centre.

The taste of goose and duck foie gras, of "confit"(preserved goose or duck), or "magret"(duck cutlets) and dishes aromatized with convey the warm welcome of the Cologne area.
