In 2022, our pageant "1549: The Silver Rush" is making a comeback!

After the Middle Ages, the Renaissance reveals new exceptional technical know-how. Discover behind the scenes: from the miner to the carpenter via the blacksmith, the mine is a world full of ingenuity... and a thirst for discovery!

For a weekend, dive into an unusual universe, from the time of the lords of Ribeaupierre...

In the miners' village, you will find:
- At the tavern: miner's soup, drinks and planks, braised wild boar on Sundays
- The craftsmen: the carpenter, the ceramist, the grocer, the jeweler, the basket weaver...
- The house of games for young and old
- The mining judge: the mining oath with the judge and his secretary before leaving for the mine

At the Saint-Louis-Eisenthür silver mine:
- The woodcutter and the carpenter
- The forge: manufacture of pointrolles, miners' tools
- Ore sorting: ore crushing by Shaideurs and sorting by Cloweresses
- Reception of miners: tools, equipment, greeting of the miner and prayer to Ste Barbe
- In the heart of the mountain: the sound universe of the miners of the Renaissance, the Houttman and the miners, water shooters, fellers, labourers...

In practice :
- Reception at the Rauenthal car park: follow the signs from the town. A short illustrated walk in the mountains will take you to the "miners' village" nestled in the middle of the forest. Once there, explore the village and welcome to the tavern, the market… Registration for the mine with the mining judge, miner's oath and departure in groups for the St-Louis-Eisenthür mine. One hour underground circuit.
- Provide appropriate clothing (sweater, jacket, warm socks) and walking shoes
- ASEPAM provides for the route in the mine helmet with lighting, boots and raincoat.
Good condition recommended for this visit (walking on a forest path, narrow passages in the mine...)

    Saturday 21: Access from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (last departure for the mine at 5 p.m.)
    Sunday 22: Access from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (last departure for the mine at 4 p.m.)
