Mathias schimied, sable-sur-sarthé

Research of Mathias Schmied, whose works are present in the collections of the FRAC Rhône-Alpes, of the Foundation Rotschild and the museum of Modern Art of New York, builds itself on the space and on the relation of balance which it maintains with the full forms.

Native of Bern and fascinated by the paper, it "sculpte les vides", transforming them into real drawings. In real magician, he proposes through this exhibition some magic tricks orchestrated by his scalpel.

This innovative technique is based on the demolition to arrive from this one at a "reconstruction". Images and texts, originals of Comics are the components with which he does not stop juggling. His universe, constituted by super-hero (in particular Batman and Spiderman) and the technical esthetics.
