Parc du Puy du Fou

The Puy du Fou is a theme park situated in a forest of 50 hectares, near the Renaissance castle ruins near the Puy du Fou in the Vendée department. The Puy du Fou opened in 1987 and is now the fourth most visited theme park in France entertaining nearly 1.5 million visitors each year between April and September. The Puy du Fou offers shows about the history of France and attractions that allow visitors a flashback in the past.

Dozens of games and entertainment, shows for children and adults are daily offered in the heart of the forest or in historical recreated settings. The park of the Puy du Fou has 25 restaurants offering various type of cuisine and 3 different hotels. The renowned show Cinéscénie, which should not be missed by visitors, offers every evening a show of 700 year history of the Vendée region with the largest stage in the world, thousands of players, hundreds of horses and 800 fireworks launched at each performance. A stand of 14 000 seats allows everyone to attend the evening open air show.
