Musée de la mine
Located on the former site of the well Couriot the mining museum of Saint-Etienne was created in 1991. It is the last great testimony of the mining adventure Etienne basin.
Closed since 1973, the site was opened in the early nineteenth century. The tour traces the lives of workers, strikes and extraction techniques.
Equipped with a helmet, visitors will also find an underground tunnel faithfully reconstructed.
