Site archéologique de Montcaret
An important archaeological site, managed by the National Monuments is located on the town. A large Gallo-Roman villa was excavated between 1922 and 1939 by Jules Formigé, revealing mosaics. Today, part of the Gallo-Roman villa can be visited. Remains dating from the 1st to the 5th century are visible: ballroom, spa and patio.
The site should be ranked as a historical monument since 1926. One of the elements of the visit is the prettiest in the frigidarium which is sumptuous blue mosaics depicting scenes aquatic.
