Château du Moulin
The castle du Moulin is located in the town of Lassay-sur-Croisne (Loir-et-Cher).
It is the subject of a classification as a historic monument since April 27, 1927.
Built between 1480 and 1501 for Philippe Moulin, childhood friend of King Charles VIII and ennobled by it, to whom he had saved his life. This stately home was designed by the court architect Jacques de Persigny. Built of brick orange and black, on a rectangular moated appearance of medieval castle was yet more to mark the new status of its owner to provide a defensive function. The court was once completely closed and surrounded by high walls.
