Château de la Cheyrelle
Cheyrelle the Castle, located on the town of Dienne, Cantal, is a mansion of the nineteenth century whose first stone was laid in 1858. It was redesigned and enlarged between 1903 and 1905 by architect and decorator Gustave Serrurier-Bovy Liège and by the Parisian architect René Dulong.
His park was created in 1905. The whole building belongs initially to the family Felgères until the 1990s. Property and furniture are sold separately. Unfortunately, due to the furniture decorator Gustave Serrurier-Bovy is not sold a single lot and everything is dispersed at the sale. The property was purchased in 1990 by two individuals in Paris, recognized experts in the history of the work of this artist, who then mobilized for intelligent restoration and reconquest (honorable task and very difficult) to his furniture " Art Nouveau.
It was included in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments in 1994 and listed building March 27, 2006 in its entirety, including the castle, park and ancillary buildings and its interior, because the whole "this point view of the history of art in the public interest because of the exceptional importance of this singular work performed between 1903 and 1905, the only complete example left in the world of innovative principles of Gustave Serrurier-Bovy (extract of Order classification).
