Le top des circuits automobiles pour faire un stage de pilotage

Driving at high speed guarantees a powerful adrenaline rush. Doing so in a safe environment and mastering driving techniques helps prevent accidents. A driving course is designed to achieve these goals. Driving schools organize sessions on some of the best racetracks in France. These circuits stand out from the rest—follow the guide.

Magny-Cours, a historic circuit

Located in the Nièvre department, the Magny-Cours circuit has welcomed speed enthusiasts since 1959. The French Formula 1 Grand Prix was held at this iconic venue for nearly 20 years. Today, the complex offers two tracks. The Grand Prix circuit is 4.4 km long, while the Club circuit measures 2.5 km, including a 700 m straight. After a driving course at Magny-Cours with Nomad Pilotage, participants can also visit the 1,400 m² museum.

Charade, a magnificent setting

Inaugurated in 1958, the Charade circuit enjoys a strong reputation within the motorsport world. It stands out for its stunning scenery. The project developers selected a natural 82-hectare site in the heart of the Chaîne des Puys. This mountain range was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2018. A driving course at Charade helps develop technical skills and greatly enhances driving sensations. Redesigned in 1989, the current version of the track is 4 km long and features 18 corners.

Dijon-Prenois, a fast circuit

Dijon-Prenois benefits from its ideal location in the center of the Bourgogne–Franche-Comté region. It is easy to reach from major cities across France. The speed of its layout has built its reputation. Cars reach their top speed on the 1,200-meter straight, with some models approaching 300 km/h. The variety of its 12 corners requires different driving approaches. Drivers learn and memorize numerous techniques while sharpening their reflexes. Tackling the parabolic “village” corner calls upon all of these skills.

Le Mans, a legendary track

The first 24 Hours of Le Mans race was held in 1923. Since then, this endurance race has become a cultural phenomenon. Driving courses take place on the Maison Blanche circuit, part of which follows the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans track. Its 9-meter width ensures safe sessions. Thanks to its adjustable length, ranging from 1.9 to 2.9 km, it is suitable for all types of exercises. The facilities are a major asset, with a briefing room that can accommodate up to 90 people.

Le Bourbonnais, an accessible circuit

Located in Montbeugny, the Bourbonnais circuit is 2,300 meters long. It features a 450-meter straight approved for speeds of up to 200 km/h. Fast, slow, and hairpin turns all require proper technique. The designers created a layout well suited to learning, deliberately avoiding guardrails or concrete walls. Of course, experienced drivers can also showcase their skills on the track. A professional team uses drones to capture the sessions.
