Tourism - Orne

Orne is a French department that is part of the Basse-Normandie region. The main cities are Alençon, Argentan and Mortagne-au-Perche.

Orne has a good tourism potential. Green tourism is popular thanks to the many natural sites such as the Andaine Forest and the Ecouves Forest. Thus a good part of the department is covered with two regional natural parks, the Normandie-Maine and the Perche.

Cultural tourism is also popular with local culinary produces such as Camenbert and black pudding from Mortagne-au-Perche. However, cultural tourism is also about visiting the ‘land of horse’ (the stud farm of Pin); and also about architectural edifices with the Notre-Dame de Sées cathedral, the O castle, the Carrouges Castle and the Domfront Castle.
