Tourism Discover the city of Groix
Groix is an island and a commune of Bretagne department of Morbihan. It is located off the southern coast of Brittany, northwest of Belle Isle, in the Atlantic Ocean in front of Lorient. It is the Township and a common Groix. It is accessible by boat from Lorient and Port-Louis. Groix is rich in tourist attractions known: fishermen's houses of the nineteenth century in the hamlets. Men Pen lights and tip-Cats. Church of St. Tudy (XIX century) in Bourg, whose patron is St Tudy. This church is unique, as the island of Hoëdic, as to have a tuna weathervane in place of a rooster or arrow, whose legend would want that either korrigans who have donated to fishermen of the island.
Hikers can choose to walk the coastal path, full of cliffs, beaches, bays and estuaries, and / or move from one village to another, print a network of footpaths and cycle away from traffic.
The beach convex (very rare) Great Sand, turquoise waters, the sand almost white (with red garnet zones) is one of the main attractions of the island.

Note that Groix organizing a film festival insuaire (FIFIG) end of August every year.
