Eure-et-Loire is a French department that is part of the Centre region. In the west of the Eure-et-Loir, the relief forms the Perche Hills that sits on Normandie as well as on the Pays de Loire.
The tourist attractions are plenty in this department, especially with Chartres, the main city, and its cathedral listed as world heritage by UNESCO and one of the most beautiful in France. Le Perche, which is a small part of l’Eure-et-Loir, offers many remarkables sites such as its capital, Nogent-le-Rotrou, as well as the Ferté-Vidame Castle, the Abbey of Thiron-Gardais, the Castle of Frazé, the Domaniale Forest of Senonches, and the Castle of Vaux in Saint-Maurice-Saint-Germain.
