Dun-sur-Auron is situated in the department of the Cher and the region Centre. Of very old origin, "Dunum" was a Gallic strengthened place. To the Middle Ages the seigneurie of Dun-le-Roy depended on the viscount of Bourges.

The athletic summer unfolding itself every year for a week in the month of August.
